When you partner with me for website coaching, I become a valuable thought partner and guide. With over 25 years of experience, I'll provide the advice, feedback, and impartial perspective you need to navigate challenges, minimize risks, and make informed decisions.

Through regular coaching sessions, I can help you:

  • Understand the pros, cons, and best practices for key website decisions

  • Reduce costs and development time by identifying and mitigating risks

  • Bridge communication gaps between your teams and vendors

  • Incorporate research, metrics, and KPIs to ensure project success

  • Manage internal website tasks like content creation and user testing

Whether you're working with a vendor to build a new site, maintaining an existing site, or creating your own new online presence, my role is to be a trusted advisor and sounding board, providing an unbiased perspective from my extensive background in nonprofit website strategy and management.

  • "One of Laura's most valuable skills is her ability to take a step back and determine if her client is asking the right questions. She is practical, incisive, and egoless. She will tell you when she does NOT know the answer to something, and has the skills and connections to find the answers."

—Hanna Kaufman, Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois

  • "Laura deeply understands her client's needs, and brings out the best in them. I would absolutely recommend Laura to any nonprofit that needs to start their website project right.”

    —Paul Sternberg, Constructive

  • Laura was an invaluable sounding board for us. She supported us in problem-solving and helped to untangle a vendor situation and brainstorm paths forward. Her grasp on website processes and technical specifications, along with her willingness to bring up difficult topics, make her a great partner.

Pricing

I price projects based on a sliding hourly rate, from $100- $150 per hour, based on the size of your organization. I’m happy to work either on an hourly basis, to allow you ongoing control over your budget, or a flat fee, to make the price of the project completely understandable up front.

Ongoing coaching via weekly one-hour calls generally comes to about six hours per month, including my prep and a small about of research about your questions in between.

I’m eager to help organizations with small projects as well as ongoing engagements. However, I find that most questions require at least a few hours for me to understand the context of the project enough to give good advice.

Let’s talk about how I can help you! A half hour consultation up-front is always free.
